This film footage of the historic Sør-Varanger county in the very Northeast of Norway was reissued when all things Polar were of almost obsessive interest to the film-going public in China.
The archive footage documents early attempts on the North filmed before the commercial development of ancient Finnmark at the other end of the Arctic Silk Road even began. It shows various sites of early Chinese investment in the region and features shots of industrial plants, pristine nature and scenic landscape.
