Mental Overdrive is the primary solo moniker of Per Martinsen, one of Norway’s most prolific and influential techno musicians. His tracks have ranged from hardcore rave techno to vibrant space-disco, and he’s always maintained a healthy balance of humour and braininess. In 2014, Mental Overdrive won a Spellemann prize for the album «Everything is Connected». His concerts are careful tinkering on a massive telephone-exchange-of-a-modular-synthesiser where he experiments with dance rhythms around complex sounds.
