Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs launches economic cooperation project ”Pomor Zone” – Sør-Varanger Municipality and Pikene på Broen take winter coats on and invite international contemporary artists and researchers to mirror the situation in the High North. Two neighbour towns on each side of the Norwegian-Russian border, Kirkenes and Nikel, are subject to a new reality. Is Kirke-nikel-nes just a playful experiment that takes the ideas of the Pomor Zone seriously? What are the effects of the art? What are strategies for cooperation?
